A CONTRACT IS SIGNED REGARDING THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE CASTLE OF LIGHT

The state agency The New Three Brothers has signed a contract with “National Association of Construction Firms”, which has undertaken to construct the Latvian National Library building in the next three years.
The contract sum for construction work is 114.6 million lats. Construction will take place in two stages: the building’s zero cycle will be constructed by September of 2009, and the aboveground cycle will be completed by 2011. It will then take approximately one year for the Latvian National Library to move to its new space.
The state agency The New Three Brothers has also signed a contract with Hill International, which will guarantee construction supervision during the period of the construction contract. Under the terms of the contract, Hill International will solve technical questions as well as survey, assess, and get the necessary approval for the costs and amount of work performed by construction workers (during the time period of the contract, payment will be made only for completed work). The contract sum for construction supervision is 4.4 million lats.
