Computers specifications

If you wish to donate computers to Latvia’s libraries, they should meet these specifications:

• computer manufacture date should be 1999 or later
• PC’s should be 300MHz or higher; Intel Pentium/Celeron, AMD Athlon/Duron or comparable processors;
• Minimal RAM – 128MB, larger preferred;
• Minimal hard disc capacity – 4GB or larger;
• Super VGA (1024 x 768 x 85HZ) or higher resolution video adapter and monitor;
• CD-ROM or DVD driver;
• Computers should be equipped with 3.5”FDD and network card;
• Monitors – beginning with 15”, with a refresh rate not less than 85HZ (at 1024 x 768 resolution), VGA or larger resolution monitor;
• Keyboard and Microsoft Mouse or compatible;
• Pentium III computers must have Windows OS Authentication certificate (COA) label
